  • You need a building permit for all construction that involves the construction, repair, movement to another site, removal, or demolition of any building or structure. All electrical, plumbing and mechanical work needs a separate permit for each trade. The price of the permit is calculated using the cost of the construction.   • DCSD is on a once‑a‑month billing cycle. Bills are issued on the 8th of each month for the previous month’s services, and payment is due by the last day of the month in which the bill is issued.

    Example:

    If you receive your bill on August 8th for services provided from July 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026, your payment is due by August 31, 2026.

  • If you qualify for a property‑tax discount through the Douglas County Assessor’s Office, you are eligible to receive a 25% discount on the current sanitary sewer service rate. To maintain this discount, your account must remain in good standing.
